Kat Von D has partnered with Green Day’s lead singer Billie Joe Armstrong to create a Limited Edition Black Pencil Eyeliner called Basket Case. It is named after  Green Day’s most popular track from their 1994 album, Dookie.

Armstrong is the beauty maven’s long-time friend, and is known for his signature eyeliner look that he has been wearing since the 90s.

The due describes the eyeliner as “the perfect black smudge pencil eyeliner for the ultimate rocker, messy, smoky eye.” To get the look, there’s no need for a brush — apply, then smudge with fingers. The creamy formula was designed to be “smudge-able” before it sets. It is in a chubby pencil format, with ultra-black pigment.

Armstrong comments, “It’s really exciting to be – what I think is the first – male musician (or even male) – to launch a black pencil eyeliner like this and in collaboration with Kat. Her products are amazing.”

Kat von D adds, “Super excited about our upcoming eyeliner collab! There’s no one else on the planet better to create a black pencil eyeliner to give a perfect anti-precision smudgy look than the guy who made it famous in the first place, Billie Joe…”

Kat Von D Basket Case Anti-Precision Eyeliner will be available in the U.S. while supplies last on the brand’s website, and at all Sephora stores.
